What to review in a personal flight quote

Before confirming, review the itinerary, total price, baggage, changes, cancellation conditions, booking provider and payment instructions for the specific ticket being offered.

Check the itinerary first

Read the departure and arrival airports, local dates and local times for every flight. Look for overnight travel, terminal or airport changes and any separately booked sectors. Make sure the proposed trip matches the journey you requested, including the return destination if you need one.

Check the number of travellers and that the cabin and baggage meet your needs. If something matters to you, such as seating, assistance or a particular connection, ask how it is handled in this proposed booking.

Understand the total being quoted

Ask what is included in the total and what would cost extra. This may include the baggage you need, seat choices or other services discussed with the travel team. Also confirm the currency, payment instructions and the identity of the booking provider before you proceed.

An enquiry is not a ticket reservation or a guaranteed fare. Ask when the quoted option must be confirmed and whether the price or availability needs to be checked again before payment. Do not treat an earlier quote as current without confirmation.

Ask about changes and cancellation

Ticket conditions vary. Ask whether changes are allowed, what charges may apply and whether a difference in fare would be payable. If cancellation or refund options matter, ask for the applicable conditions for the exact ticket you are considering.

A flexible sounding fare name does not replace the written conditions. Ask the travel team to explain unclear wording and keep the confirmed itinerary and conditions with your booking details.

A final review checklist

  • Correct airports, travel dates and local flight times.
  • Correct number of adults, children and infants.
  • Included baggage and any additional services.
  • Full quoted price and currency.
  • Change, cancellation and refund conditions.
  • Booking provider, payment instructions and support contact.
  • Any deadline stated for accepting the option.

Questions, answered.

Does requesting a quote reserve a seat?

No. The Flight.lk enquiry does not reserve or issue a ticket. Availability and booking arrangements are confirmed with the travel team.

Is the first quote always the final amount?

Review what is included and ask for the current total before confirming. Additional services or a change in availability can affect an option.

Can Flight.lk collect payment in the enquiry form?

No payment is collected in the website enquiry form. Payment arrangements are explained before a booking is confirmed.

Let’s apply this to your journey.

Share your dates, airports and priorities. Our travel team can discuss the details that matter for your enquiry.
