Start with the right airport.
- City and country
- London, United Kingdom
- Starting airport
- London Heathrow Airport (LHR)
- Sri Lanka airport
- Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo (CMB)
- Journey direction
- Either direction; return or one way
London has several airports, and the airport name matters when comparing quotes. This page starts with Heathrow. Tell us if Gatwick or another airport would also work, rather than treating all London departures as interchangeable.
Another starting point? You can ask about London Gatwick (LGW). These are enquiry alternatives, not a claim that any particular service is available.
Make the itinerary work for you.
Check both the outbound and inbound London airport and the terminal or airport changes shown in the proposed itinerary.
Compare each proposed option using the same traveller count, cabin and baggage requirements. Check the local dates and times on every sector, the total elapsed journey, and any terminal or airport transfers. Ask whether flights are on one ticket or separate bookings.
If a family event or onward journey sets a firm arrival deadline, include it in your request. A preferred departure day alone does not explain when you must reach your destination.
What to include in your enquiry.
- Preferred departure and return dates, plus any flexibility.
- All adults, children and infants, with children’s ages.
- Checked baggage needs and preferred cabin.
- Preferences on waiting time, number of changes and assistance.
- Any already booked flight that affects this journey.
Before confirming, review the current total price, included services, booking provider, payment arrangements and ticket conditions. Availability and fares are checked for the actual proposed booking.
Questions, answered.

What is the fare from London to Colombo?
